
Laura Swann

Laura Swann, Ed.S., NBCT, is the Assistant Director of the Office of Workforce Development at the University of West Florida, where she leads student recruitment, hiring, and the development of professional soft skills to ensure career success. She bridges education and industry, promoting student growth and regional economic development.
Laura also designed a STEM Coaching program, where she developed peer coaches and published her team's work in a peer-reviewed journal. As a leadership trainer and instructional coach, she utilizes methodologies like Cognitive Coaching, DISC, Strengthsfinders, and Fierce Conversations to foster team and leadership growth. Her work as an Instructional Coach in Fairfax County Public Schools resulted in significant student performance improvements in reading and science.
She holds an Education Specialist degree from the University of Virginia, a Master of Education from Marymount University, and a Bachelor’s in Economics and Political Science from Emory University. She is a National Board Certified Teacher in Middle Childhood Education.
Active in the community, Laura is involved in Leadership Pensacola (Class of 2019), Pensacola Women’s Alliance, Impact 100, Chi Omega Alumnae Association, and Junior League of Pensacola. Passionate about leadership, she facilitates a Leaders Are Readers book group, bringing vision, enthusiasm, and dedication to all her endeavors.
